It is expected to experience slight sensitivity to cold or hot things. It should be very short in duration. If it is more than sensitivity and actually uncomfortable, please call us.
The temporary is made of a much different material than the final restoration, which will be much smoother—as smooth as your natural teeth. If a sharp area irritates your tongue or cheek, please call us.
It is normal to experience some soreness in the area for a few days due to the anesthetic, long appointments, etc. Usually, Advil or Tylenol will relieve this. If there is more discomfort than this, please call us.
The temporary is made to come off (so we can put the final one on)! Occasionally, sticky or hard
foods can cause it to come off. Please call us if this happens. It is usually very simple for us to put it back on. Sometimes, you can put it back in place until you can come in.
The temporary is not necessarily the color of the final restoration. We select a custom shade for the final one and will get your approval before putting anything in your mouth!
